Community standards

Serious stories need shared rules.

These concise standards protect fair scenes, immersive characters, and a welcoming 18+ community.

Important: The full rules published in NorthBridge Discord remain authoritative until all website wording is finalized. Cheating, exploiting, harassment, and ban evasion are major violations.

Category 01

Respect Everyone

  1. 1.Treat every player with dignity, including during conflict.
  2. 2.Harassment, discrimination, slurs, or targeted toxicity are prohibited.

Category 02

Serious RP Only

  1. 1.Stay in character and give others meaningful opportunities to respond.
  2. 2.Use believable character motivations; avoid trolling or scene-breaking behavior.

Category 03

No RDM or VDM

  1. 1.Do not attack without valid roleplay initiation and escalation.
  2. 2.Vehicles are not weapons except in an immediate, believable life-threatening circumstance.

Category 04

Value Your Life / FearRP

  1. 1.React to danger as a real person would and prioritize your character’s survival.
  2. 2.Do not force impossible heroics when clearly outmatched or restrained.

Category 05

No Metagaming

  1. 1.Only act on information your character learned in roleplay.
  2. 2.Streams, Discord, and out-of-character conversations cannot inform in-city decisions.

Category 06

No Powergaming

  1. 1.Do not force outcomes, exploit mechanics, or deny another player a fair response.
  2. 2.Use systems and emotes to support scenes—not to bypass consent or believable limits.

Category 07

New Life Rule

  1. 1.After respawning, forget the immediate events leading to incapacitation.
  2. 2.Do not return to an active scene to retaliate or recover property unless staff directs otherwise.

Category 08

Safe Zones

  1. 1.Do not initiate criminal activity in designated protected areas.
  2. 2.Safe zones never excuse fleeing into one to avoid an already active scene.

Category 09

Exploiting & Cheating

  1. 1.Cheats, injected tools, duping, and intentional exploitation result in severe action.
  2. 2.Report vulnerabilities privately; never demonstrate or distribute an exploit.

Category 10

Combat Logging

  1. 1.Do not disconnect to avoid an interaction, consequence, arrest, or loss.
  2. 2.If you crash, communicate promptly and make a good-faith effort to return.

Category 11

Police & EMS

  1. 1.Allow public-service players to develop scenes and follow reasonable instructions.
  2. 2.Corruption and extreme misconduct require prior staff approval where Discord rules specify it.

Category 12

Gang & Criminal RP

  1. 1.Build conflict through story, escalation, and clear motives—not constant gunplay.
  2. 2.Follow current limits for groups, robberies, wars, and cooldowns in Discord.

Category 13

Voice & Microphone

  1. 1.A working, understandable microphone is required.
  2. 2.Keep voice communication free of disruptive soundboards, distortion, and excessive background noise.

Category 14

Staff Decisions & Appeals

  1. 1.Follow staff direction during an active situation and discuss concerns afterward.
  2. 2.Use the official ticket or appeal process; do not argue cases in public channels.
